The Kiwi Cup held on the 17th of January showcased some of the best players from Saint Andrew’s Secondary/Junior College and Raffles Institution. The event was graced by Ms Gabrielle Rush, High Commissioner of New Zealand High Commission, underscoring the strong rugby heritage shared between New Zealand, Raffles Institution and Saint Andrew’s.
Supporters from both schools filled the stands, creating an electric atmosphere with cheers and school pride evident throughout the game. The match was keenly contested, with both teams displaying outstanding skill, teamwork, and determination. The Saints fought hard, making impressive plays that tested the Raffles defence. However, our boys in Green and Black held strong and edged out their rivals with a narrow yet decisive victory, winning the game with a score of 14-10, to bring home the GOLD!
This famous victory means that RI has been defending the Kiwi Cup since 2022.
