The Gryphons Rugby Academy was conceptualised in 2020 by Raffles Rugby Union and started operations in 2023. It is a junior rugby academy with a vision to help aspiring junior rugby players improve their rugby skills and develop as rugby players to their full potential.

The Gryphons Rugby Academy is a junior rugby club is open to the public; and hopes to

• develop a vibrant rugby culture within the academy that encourages youth participation and engagement in the game of Rugby; and create a vibrant rugby community for the boys from Raffles Institution and the participating rugby players from all other schools.

At Gryphons Rugby Academy, we believe that rugby should not only be for the privileged.

• Our youth, regardless of economic and social status, must be given the opportunity to achieve rugby excellence through:
  • Quality Coaches and Coaching;
  • Opportunity to train and play rugby with a wider spectrum of boys from varied social, cultural, and economic backgrounds;
  • Opportunity to go on rugby tours, experiencing overseas travel as a team and develop strong friendships with the larger rugby community.

• We believe that the sport of rugby can be a useful means to nurture youth leadership, and the inculcation of the values of integrity, passion, solidarity, discipline and respect.
• We believe that success is no accident, it is a result of preparation. All our programs focus on preparing our boys physically, mentally and socially; with the aim of being successful in rugby, and in life.
